Teros takes part in their fifth Rugby World Cup and joins the All Blacks. The hosts of the match, France, Italy, and Africa, will be determined in Pool A.
The United States will face
Chile next year to compete for the right to participate in the World Cup as the
Pool D America 2 qualifier.
After a win over Langford a
week ago, Chile defeated Canada 33-24 in Valparaiso. There, Chile conceded a
penalty with 30 seconds to go and Canada won 22-21.
Santiago Videla tried to
score 18 points on Sunday, giving Chile a 54-46 lead with a combined score of
54-46, aspiring to participate in the World Cup for the first time.
Uruguay had a good start
against the United States thanks to the efforts of the top five Felipe
Etcheverry and center Nicolás Freitas arranged by Rodrigo Silva.
The Eagles continued to try
Mika Kruse, but goalkeeper Federico Favaro gave Uruguay a 13-8 lead at
halftime.
The tension in the first
half dissipated within 12 minutes, as Uruguayan winger Gaston Mieres, hooker
Facundo Gattas and another Freitas scored a three-pointer for Silva.
After an excellent effort by
top five Rodrigo Fernandez, Chile led by 13 points at halftime, with the latter
catching Ross Braude's penalty and crossing the backline.

After the break, Chilean hooker Augusto Bhome was sent off. Eric Howard scored the opposite to narrow the gap to six points, but the 14 Chileans also tried to support Matias Dittus from the kick.
Videla continued to penalize
Canada's disciplinary violations. Although the visiting team was 9 runs behind
with 13 minutes to play, another error early in the game allowed Chile to
easily gain a foothold in the 22nd inning and led to Videla’s own conversion.
Try to lead 33-17.
Another Chilean player has
committed a crime in the last 6 minutes and Canada can only cross once.
"It's fair for South
American football. They've really invested and they're moving in the right
direction," Canadian coach Kingsley Jones said.
"We're being overtaken.
I've raised this point before, and when you see how Chile plays, I don't think
anyone can deny it. The competition for World Cup places has become very fierce
and we missed it.”
