Ben Stokes is not playing T20 World Cup 2021 starting this week. Ben Stokes is a tremendous all-rounder. He was the captain of the team in the Test series against Pakistan in July 2021 but now Eoin Morgan will lead the team in T20 World Cup due to the absence of Ben.

After he posted a picture of him gripping the bat on Instagram, fans are happy to see him playing cricket.

"It's casual clothes training on a Thursday… Generally my first ball back and this is what happened (laughing face emoji)... Then a bit of making sure I don't break my toe... Then eventually hit a nice one... Great to be back hitting balls." He posted on Instagram.

Jofra Archer commented on Ben Stokes’s post, wrote “First ball might be 4 anyway (doesn't matter how they come)."

Wicket-keeper and batsman Jos Buttler commented on Ben’s post, “Like riding a bike”.

Stokes had pulled himself out from playing cricket before the test match series against India and Ben will also not be playing the upcoming T20 World Cup. Ben will also not play the most-awaited Ashes series against Australia 2021/22. Ben pulled out because of his mental health concerns and healing his left index finger.

Ben Stokes’s index finger was fractured while fielding for Rajashtan Royals in Indian Premier League 2021 in April. Stokes left the tournament as he to go through surgery. In July, Stokes won 3-0 One Day International series against Pakistan while leading as captain with a fresh team. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the first team was not available.

Ben went through surgery in October to remove two screws from the left index finger and remove scar tissue. Stokes’s Instagram post has created a hope that Ben will start playing again or whether he will be part of Ashes 2020/21 England’s squad or not.
