Dembele has participated in the last two training sessions with his teammates, but Dembele is not included in the team for Wednesday’s match against Rayo Vallecano at Vallecas.

Ronald Koeman about Dembele's extension:

"The most important thing is that we want him to stay," said Ronald Koeman during Tuesday's pre-match press conference.

"He is key and has quality. The goal is for him to renew.

"Another thing is if he doesn't want to renew. We have to talk as a club about the best way to deal with it.

"We haven't yet talked about what our strategy will be if he doesn't renew."

Talks between Barcelona and Dembele about the contract have not been successful yet, but Barcelona doesn’t want to hurry about it. Barcelona wants to extend its contract with Dembele till 2025. But if no agreement is made by January 2022, Dembele might face the consequence and Barcelona will freeze him out soon.

Dembele's agents have been hesitant to put a new deal on paper, While the talks of extending the contract have been going on since Dembele was injured for a long time playing for France at Euro 2020. Negotiations have not been reached to any agreement.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta is also participating in the agreement talks between Dembele and Barcelona. Eticketing.co is the best website to buy football tickets. Fans can buy Barcelona vs Real Madrid Tickets from our website.
