The Wales squad has announced for Autumn Nations Series 2021 |
Head coach Pivac called on Wyn Jones, Ken Owens, Alun Wyn Jones, Adam Beard, Gareth Davies, Dan Bigger, Louis Rees-Zammit, and Liam Williams' eight 2021 British and Irish Lions experience, while Scarlet's WillGriff John and Exeter Chief' Christ Tshiunza are the only players in the team without a cap.
Wyn Jones is mentioned along
with the unwitting Rhodri Jones and Rhys Carre. Dillon Lewis and WillGriff John
have been selected for the 2020 Guinness Six Nations team, but there is no
upper limit, with Tomas Francis being called an iron man.
Ken Owens was named a
prostitute along with his Scarlets teammate Ryan Elias and Elliot Dee of
Dragons.
Who returned to the Ospreys
last weekend, if he played in the 2021 Fall National Series? Captain Alun Wyn
Jones would become the most played international player in history.
Adam Beard, Will Rowlands,
Ben Carter, Seb Davies, and Christ Tshuinza were named in the second row, and
Ross Moriarty, Taine Basham, Ellis Jenkins, Aaron Wainwright, Taulupe Faletau,
and Thomas Young of Wasps were named in the back row.
Cardiff Rugby's Rhys
Priestland is back in the team for the first time since the last international
match against New Zealand in November 2017. Gareth Anscombe, Dan Biggar, and
Callum Sheedy were also on the outside line.
Johnny Williams, Jonathan
Davies, Nick Tompkins and Uilisi Halaholo will fill the middle position, Josh
Adams, Owen Lane, Louis Rees-Zammit, Johnny McNicholl, and Liam Williams will
be nominated as the bottom three.
If he played in the 2021 Autumn Nations Series |
"Because the global pandemic is particularly difficult for everyone, I believe we all need this game, we know that the first game with New Zealand is outside the international window," Pivac said.

"I have to make with
less rugby than usual for the season, it will be great to play in front of a
large audience again and many players are experiencing this for the first time.
"This is one of the
firmest selections, separately from injuries and players' inability to play.
"A lot of players
haven't reached their best form yet, you want to pick players when you consider
options, who are in good shape but to be honest. We looked at a performance at
this level in the past, including the very successful Six Nations Sports, if
you wish, we have entered some of this information into the current form.
"But it does mean that
more players will have the chance to be exposed to this level of rugby force us
to look deeper than usual, Injuries in certain positions, especially open
positions. As we continue to prepare for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, this will only be good."
