Six Nations 2022: Manu Tuilagi’s strength is huge as he prepares to return to England

England defensive coach Anthony Seibold defined Manu Tuilagi's physique as "enormous", as he was named in the 35-man squad to training for Saturday's game against Wales at Twickenham. Seibold honoured the 30-year-old centre, who is returning this weekend after suffering a hamstring injury in England's win over South Africa in November. He told Radio 5 BBC Live: “He is in great shape and his weight is enormous at the moment, he played 80 minutes of rugby and consumed a full week at camp.

“He created energy as he salivated the ball both rudely, sensitively and he was very good at first touch.

"He contributed a lot to our team and has a lot of experience, he has a good feel fit for the game and his executive ability as a protector is very good."

Tuilagi will try to impress the Guinness Six Nations team since facing Wales at Twickenham in 2020, where he finished 33rd. An exciting 30 win resulted in a goal and a red card.

Temporarily, prop Joe Marler returns to the team after being given playing time for the Harlequins.

Marler, 31 years old, played a major role in the Hornets' 29-24 Premiership win over the Wasps over the weekend, playing just 69 minutes in England's loss to Scotland and the first two rounds to Italy.
