Next week's Vic Open at 13th Beach in Barwon Heads is now part of the British Open Qualifying Series, offering waivers from three major golf events for the top three players who have not yet been waived to advance to 10 and tie.

There are at least 46 Open spots available through qualifiers, but next week's Vic Open (February 10-13) is the only tournament in Australia offering a chance.

The 150th British Open Championship will be held in St Andrews from July 10-17, 2022. Greg Norman was the past Australian to victory the Open Championship in 1993. Adam Scott (2012) and Marc Leishman (2015) have both finished second in the past period.
