England coach Eddie Jones has recruited a 25-man squad for a five-day training camp in London as he begins training for next weekend's game in Twickenham.

Sam Simmonds will not be in preparation this week due to a continuing hip problem but is probable to be suitable to face Wales.

After an injury, Jonny Hill and Courtney Lawes will also join the team. Lawes will continue to work on his return-to-play procedures and Jonny Hill is recovering from a fibula injury.

Of the returnees, Tuilagi contributed the most as England lacked his attendance in an impulsive midfield.

Henry Slade is a good centre forward striker, but not a running option that provides more balance, and the Exeter player could rise to 13.

"Just having a strong centre would give us another option," Jones said ahead naming his 25-man lineup.

“Through good running lines and transitory, all we're doing now is trying to create chances through skill, that is.

“But if you have someone who can quickly bring you forward and attack two or three defenders, then you can try to take advantage of the extra space, which is very beneficial for us.

"When you have smaller strikers you have to get better at running, supporting lines and transient. I think we've made some improvement in that.

"I think Slade is doing very well, we've played three strikers. Joe Marchant and Elliot Daly have had their moments, but we need to get more out of it and we realize that."
