While forwards Leo Berdeu and four Jules Favre and Tani Vili also hope to impress when the team meets on January 23.

Flanker Charles Ollivon, who had captained France in the previous two tournaments, missed as expected as he continued to recover from a serious knee injury.

Half of the Scrum, Antoine Dupont captained Les Bleus during the Fall Nations series, a role he can continue to play despite missing last month with an injury. He is predicted to return to Toulouse this weekend.

The other is Bernard Le Roux, just 3 caps away from his 50th appearance in France, one of only four players on the second row, plus 30+ prop Uini Atonio, Romain Taofifenua and fullback Brice Dulin on the second row.
