Also on the card is Briton Daniel Dubois, who will protect his WBA ‘Regular’ title against South African heavyweight Kevin Lerena.

Chisora ended a three-fight losing streak by thrashing Kubrat Pulev in July while Fury fights for the first time since discontinuing Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium in April. Chisora was 27 at the time and the defensive British and Commonwealth champion, and had seen two future fights with then world champion Wladimir Klitschko fall finished in just eight months. Fury, on the other pointer, was just 23 and considered largely experimental, making him the underdog against Chisora.

Three years later they met over, this time at the Excel in London, with Chisora on a warm streak after five strike wins in a row following three bad wounded to Robert Helenius, Vitali Klitschko then David Haye.

But again Fury was the healthier man, this time playing with Chisora by aggressive in a southpaw stance before the latter’s angle eventually round. The victory secured Fury a shot at then-IBF, WBO, and WBA winner Wladimir Klitschko, whom he would beat in Dusseldorf on points a year later.

There has barely been a clamor from fans to see the third fight, but since recurring from a two-year absence in 2018, Fury has repeatedly said he is required to fight Chisora again before he retires.

“There are talks about what’s following for Tyson, but the first instruction of the commercial is a battle against an extremely tough fighter in Derek Chisora.”

“Tyson can’t afford any slip-up in this contest as he has the much-publicized acknowledged match-up with Usyk in the New Year which we’re really looking onward to,” said Fury’s UK organizer Frank Warren.

On the Fury vs Chisora bill, WBA ‘regular’ world winner Daniel Dubois will make the first defense of his belt in contradiction of South African southpaw Kevin Lerena. Fury has fought Chisora twice before, outpointing the Londoner in a 2011 British title contest, then dominating and discontinuing Chisora in a European championship session three years after that.

Fury went on from there to depose Wladimir Klitschko and become the united heavyweight champion in 2015. He returned from pugilism after two years out to eventually start his trilogy with Deontay Wilder which proverb him win the WBC belt and start his second championship reign and solidify his location as one of the biggest stars in the sport.

For Fury though, if he is directing a showdown with WBO, WBA, and IBF titlist Usyk for the undisputed contest, this bout with Chisora will provide valuable activity beforehand the close of 2022. But now he is about to face Tyson Fury for a third time with a statement believed to be imminent for a December 3 showdown. After thrashing Dillian Whyte in April, WBC champion Fury insisted he was retired, but the lure of aggressive has been too great.

Success always eluded Chisora when he made the step up to the elite level and this was never more evident than when he fought Fury for an additional time in 2014. In the end, it was former trainer Don Charles who stopped the action after the tenth, removing the gum shield from his fighter’s bruised and gory mouth.

Having lost to the Gypsy King in 2011 and with a latent heavyweight title fight against Wladimir Klitschko on the line, Fury slaughtered Chisora for ten agonizing rounds from his less-frequented southpaw stance and at one point even requested referee Marcus MacDonnell to stop the fight and put his adversary out of his misery.

Beating Klitschko

Fury went on to cement his place as one of the best combatants in the world by beating Klitschko on his home turf in 2015 and then originated back from the brink to be champion again by beating Rougher for the WBC strap in 2020.

“I’m exposed to anything,” Chisora told TalkSport previous this year.

I love fighting; what most people don’t understand is some people want to have insight into being combatants on Instagram. I’m not that guy. I want to be that man that when I sit down and everybody looks at my recommence, I want to say, ‘You know what, I fought everybody in my era.’

“I don’t want to let people choose for me, I decide for myself and be content with the decision I make.”

“So if I have to fight Deontay Rougher, if I have to fight whoever, if I consume to fight an American, I don’t care, I will fight.”

A clash with Rougher has not materialized for Chisora, and the re-ignition of his old competition with Fury has taken many by astonishment. The pair exchanged words at the grandstand after Joe Joyce vs Joseph Parker the previous month, setting up for the trilogy fight on December 3.
