“What he fixes has a lot of merits,” said Flick, told Bundesliga. “He’s having a very decent run now and I think he’s doing really well and may bring a component to our team that we don’t have in our current form. And the first BVB goal that got through came courtesy of an additional Dortmund prodigy — Youssoufa Moukoko, a home-grown Dortmund talent who is potentially Haaland’s heir seeming and still just 17 years of age. Unsurprisingly, Adeyemi started in the next Champions League midweek match against Sevilla, a 1-1 draw.
Moukoko didn’t back depressed from the occasion, either, barreling into Neuer after scoring and knocking his potential national side squad-mate over. Unlike Adeyemi, who is perhaps a winger-forward hybrid, Moukoko fits more in the midpoint and has extended been identified as a potential salve for Germany’s striker drought.
“It’s a team game,” he said simply “A lot of belongings are working are working out for me right now, and I’m happy about that since I’ve been working hard for it.”

There isn’t much more time before the pedal hits the metallic in Qatar. For Hansi Flick, decisions loom — both in squad selection and tactics — as he anticipates the timeless and familiar No. 9 question currently plaguing both his republic and its top club.

Flick’s side was hit with a cruel cue that the COVID-19 pandemic is very much still around, as Manuel Neuer and Leon Goretzka have had to remove from the squad following positive tests. Along with Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt — who is also ill but has not verified positive. So it might be something else.
Hoffenheim keeper Oliver Baumann and VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Maximilian Arnold have remained called up in place of the late removals, though with a view to World Cup preparations. It’s unlikely players more firmly outside of the first excellent will see significant action.

The actor probably most in need of rest — Joshua Kimmich — is someone likely. Not smooth Flick dares ever bench, and the sudden lightness in midfield makes that even firmer to do.
Personally, I view a Raum-Hofmann fullback combination as fantastically unlikely. They’re both highly attacking players and Flick showed a favorite for one defensive fullback in June. Though maybe Flick will decide an ultra-attacking lineup is a change-up he wants to solve a compact defense.
