Fury has pledged £1million to Morgan if he fights again after pushing for retirement – and the Briton must now keep his bet after announcing his fight against Chisora. Tyson Fury will again take home big bucks by taking on Derek Chisora for the third time, but the heavyweight champion will have to pay TV presenter Piers Morgan £1million. Boxing fans can buy Tyson Fury Vs Dereck Chisora Tickets from our website.

Heavyweight champion Fury, 34, promised to hang up his gloves after beating Dillian Whyte in April, but he backed out of the decision to attempt a fight with Anthony Joshua. After the two sides failed to reach an agreement, Fury turned his attention to Chisora when the pair met for a trilogy match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 3.

Two months after defending his title in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, the ‘King of the Gypsy’ promised Morgan he would pay £1 million if he played again. “I’m not going to play any more pro games. I’m done,” he told the TV host on Piers Morgan Uncensored. “There’s been some talk about how games, but I honestly don’t see that happening either.

“I’m not interested in fighting anymore, it’s enough for me. I entered a ridiculous number today. I said I’d come back for half a billion, half a billion pounds. That’s £500 million. If it’s not ridiculous, I don’t know what it is!” Morgan then asked if Fury would pay him £1million if there was a huge offer on the table, to which he replied: “If I get £5bn for my fight with Sterling, is that good? Yes, 100%.”

Fury has now promised to go through with the bet after talkSPORT presenter Simon Jordan reminded him and insisted that he pay Morgan £1million in sterling coins.

“No, listen, I didn’t, I’ve never made a deal in my life. I really like you, Simon, but I also love Piers, and if I play again now, he’ll be paid in pounds, and that’s the deal, the deal is it’s paid in £1 million coins,” Fury said on talkSPORT.

Queensbury Promotions boss Frank Warren has been ordered to pay £10,000 in cash. After ‘The Gypsy King’ bet his promoter Joshua would not sign a contract for their grudge fight. Despite Joe Joyce’s call to a fight, Warren insists Chisora is the top-tier opponent Fury can fight before the end of the year.

“We are in a position where we need to find his ranked opponent, and the highest-ranked opponent is Derek Chisora,” Warren said.

“It’s important that Tyson fights before the end of the year because if he fights [Oleksandr] Usky and he has nothing in between, he could be out for a year.”

A few Hall of Fame promoters are well prepared for a tough sale ahead of the next heavyweight title fight.

Tyson Vs Dereck: Bob Arum and Frank Warren expect Tyson Fury to defend ancestry and WBC with compatriot Derek Chisora in a trilogy the news of the heavyweight title would meet some resistance and the trilogy is far from being asked. Their fight will take place on December 3 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London, presented by Arum’s Top Rank and Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, with BT Sport Box Office in the UK and ESPN+ in the US set to make headlines.

The silver lining is that Fury (32-0-1, 23KOs) remains relatively active. As he awaits a more desirable undisputed title match with unified WBA/IBF/WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13KOs). One such match was teased after Usky again defeated Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia on August 20. However, the undefeated Ukrainian southpaw has revealed. That he will not fully recover from his previous injury until the first quarter of 2023.

Warren’s Queensberry Promotions is aiming to fight Fury until December 3rd, leading to the search for another big name: Joshua (24-3, 22KOs) to produce Fury-Chisora III. As Chisora is operated by Joshua’s 258 MGT Company. Boxing fans can buy Tyson Vs Dereck Tickets from our website.

“The Usyk fight, if it happens, won’t happen until the end of February of next year. If he doesn’t have a fight in the middle, it’ll take almost a year, and that’s not going to happen.

“I promised him we’ll put on a show in the third quarter and then we delivered. He has to fight. He’s trained and after this game, if he makes it, now, he has to be in a position where he has the camp can come in and be fully prepared for the big fight.”

With no way to win to fight, another way to secure Fury’s next defeat twice.

Their rematch in November 2014 was brutal, with Fury scoring in the tenth round a year. Before Wladimir Klitschko’s straight/WBA/IBF/WBO heavyweight title in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Fury has since re-emerged as the direct/WBC heavyweight king, claiming a seventh-round suspension against Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42KOs) in a February 2020 rematch in Las Vegas. Fifteen months after a near-tie with the controversial split decision. Two defences followed – an 11th-round elimination of Wilder in Las Vegas last October 9. A one-sided 6th in front of 94,000 spectators on April 23. Round-up compatriot Dillian Whyte. Fans at Wembley Stadium.

After two defeats to Fury, Chisora had a less impressive career, taking 13-7 in 20 games after repeated losses to Fury. Among the defeats was a loss to Usyk in October 2020, who went on to beat Joshua twice.

One of those losses was avenged by barely catching up with Kubrat Pulev in a 12-round bout at the O2 in London on July 9. Which was abandoned in May 2016 against the Bulgarian heavyweight and first two champions. Challenger’s split decision comes more than six years later. The win over Pulev ended a three-game losing streak, including a losing streak against Joseph Parker. The former WBO heavyweight champion and Angry’s regular partner.

That’s clear enough to win a second professional title fight. That and his rough ranking on BoxRec.com, the sport’s official database.

“According to BoxRec, Derek Chisora is the highest-rated available fighter we could find,” explains Warren.

“Number one is Usyk who didn’t play in December. Anthony Joshua, we wasted a month on it. Deontay Wilder played last week. Andy Ruiz forces Fight Wilder to the ground. Then you get Dillian Whyte, who beats Tyson. Then there is Joe Joyce who can’t play because he only recently played [Luis] Ortiz has been defeated lately then you get Joseph Parker who beat Joe Joyce.

“No. 9 is Derek Chisora. No. 10 is Kubrat Pulev. That’s the independent ranking. That’s why we have the biggest contender.”

Warren’s publicity opponents gave examples of matches that were more competitive in the ring than on paper. One was that Chisora was more competitive than expected against Usyk, who had two more convincing wins over Joshua.

The other is from nearly 30 years ago when Top Rank was thought to have hit a WBC/WBO unification fight between Lennox Lewis and Tommy Morrison. The two would eventually meet in a non-title fight two years later after both suffered frustrating knockout losses. Morrison was the first to be cut, in a battle Arum and Top Rank never wanted to play.

“I remember a few years ago when Tommy Morrison won the WBO heavyweight title against George Foreman,” Arum noted.

“He then had a record scholarship in the unification fight with Lennox Lewis. Get Tommy ready for Lennox Lewis,” his manager said.

“We did it, to Michael Bentt in his hometown. The bell rang and Tommy ran across the ring and started hitting and kicking Michael Bentt like crazy. Then Bentt hit him with his right hand, making Tommy Cold. That was the moment when a fight with Lennox Lewis was over and that fight was awarded a $10 million grant.

“It’s heavyweight. When you’re fighting a heavyweight against a heavy-handed opponent, you have to pray that nothing bad happens. So while I have a lot of faith in Tyson Fury, I believe he is the best fighter in the world. I’d just be as nervous as anyone on a fight night.”
