Another All Blacks signed for the Rugby World Cup 2023 and squad named for Northern Tour

Blues and All Blacks tight end Nepo Laulala has signed with New Zealand Rugby on the dotted line for the 2023 season. The move confirms Laulala’s intention to be part of the All Blacks roster for the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France. Rugby World Cup 2023 fans can buy New Zealand Vs Uruguay Tickets from our website.

Laulala’s exact position in the All Blacks’ tight pecking order is an unanswered question for the rugby championship. Laulala missed the final game of the tournament with an injury in Game 1 of the Irish series in July.

In his absence, young props Tyrel Lomax and Fletcher Newell have put in strong international performances, and if all three make it to the North Tour lineup, they will compete for game time, which will be announced on Sunday.

Laura, 30, has played 42 Tests as an All Blacks player and is just one match away from 100 Super Rugby caps, having played for the Crusaders, Chiefs and Blues.

Laulala started the 2019 Rugby World Cup All Blacks semi-final loss to England.

“Nepo has been a big part of our squad since returning to the Auckland area with his family last year and he is an indispensable member of our top five,” said Blues manager Leon MacDonald.

“He was a calm family man with strong values, but also made a significant contribution to our team’s discussions – we are delighted to have him with us in 2023.”

Chris Lendrum

New Zealand General Manager Professional Rugby and Performance Chris Lendrum were enthusiastic about Laulala’s decision.

“Nepo has built up a wealth of experience in key positions, including 42 All Blacks tests while continuing to perform at a high level in the Bunnings NPC and Super Rugby Pacific, which he has consistently shown over the past decade.”

“He has played a key role for the Blues over the past two seasons and I am sure he will continue to do so in 2023.”

All Blacks team named for Northern Tour

Much of the rugby tournament lineup has been set aside as the All Blacks have their sights set on the Northern Tour and some Irish series players have returned to the squad.

Props Nepo Laulala and Ofa Tuungafasi and winger Leicester Fainga’anuku return to Foster’s squad after missing out on the Rugby Championship after the Irish series in July.

The team includes the return of 56-Test midfielder Anton Lienert-Brown, who successfully returned to the field after shoulder surgery, and Braydon Ennor who returns to add depth in midfield after injuries to Quinn Tupaea and Jack Goodhue.

The Blues duo Stephen Perofetta and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck are also named for their in and out of the All Blacks during the Rugby Championship. Rugby World Cup fans can buy New Zealand Vs Namibia Tickets from our website.

While the team has a total of 1,362 Test caps, some cap players will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience during the All Blacks XV Tour.

Leon MacDonald

The team coached by Leon MacDonald will be named tomorrow (Monday) and the depth of New Zealand’s talent pool will increase as the Rugby World Cup 2023 approaches.

“The Tour of the North has always been a highlight of the all-black calendar, and this year was no exception,” said Foster.

“With less than a year to go until the Rugby World Cup kicks off, this tour gives us another excellent opportunity to build on the completion of the Rugby Championship. Experience the big test matches up north for next year in France, well prepared for the game.”

“The addition of our All Blacks XV team will also help grow this experience across the wider player base.”

The 28-strong All Blacks XV line-up was selected by the All Black coaching team of Ian Foster, Joe Schmidt and Jason Ryan, which included 8 players with test experience including Tuipulotu, Asafo Aumua, TJ Perenara, Brad Weber, Luke Jacobson, Aidan Ross, Angus Ta’avao, and Damian McKenzie.

Leon MacDonald joins assistant coaches Clayton McMillan and Scott Hansen as head coach of the All Blacks XV. The team will expand New Zealand’s talent pool as the Rugby World Cup 2023 approaches.

All Blacks coach Leon MacDonald

All Blacks XV head coach Leon MacDonald said: “We are looking forward to a tough challenge from the Irish A’s and the Barbarians. These two matches will allow the players to show what they can do and bring their best to the international stage.

“The selection committee has appointed a dynamic All Blacks XV team with eight All Blacks and emerging talent who know how to perform at this level. Playing internationally is very valuable for the players and I am looking forward to it. Lead the team to a first for the All Blacks XV.”

Ian Foster All Blacks head coach and All Blacks XV selector said: “This team is a mix of some experienced players and some young talent and we, as part of the All Blacks, really want to see how they progress in the North Hemisphere surroundings.

“It’s a great opportunity for them to play in a black jersey in different environments and test themselves against different game plans and styles. Hopefully, this will help us prepare for next year’s Rugby World Cup Prepare. “

Ian Foster

The All Blacks XV gather in Dublin on October 28, where they face the Irish A’s at the RDS Arena on November 4, before taking on the Barbarians at London’s Tottenham Stadium on November 13.

Launched as NZR’s next senior national team after the All Blacks, the All Blacks XV is the premier high-performance avenue for the All Blacks. As the next senior national team, the All Blacks XV will have the same high expectations as any other black team.

The All Blacks XV follow in the footsteps of similar teams in New Zealand rugby history, including the Junior All Blacks, New Zealand A and the Emerging Players.

NZR has entered into an exclusive partnership with sports promotion company Rugby Live (RL) to host the All Blacks XV matches. NZR has worked with RL, including two all-black tests in Chicago, one all-black test in Washington DC and the British Barbarians in 2017.
