In the final game of the series, we took a closer look at the Broncos’ preseason finale and were able to see how the team’s roster formed before the last layoffs to reduce the lineup to the mandatory 53-man limit.

Here are some of our favourite clips from the three episodes. But be sure to watch the full episode to see the rest, including glimpses of the fun, competitive play at team meetings and why Hackett likes to cultivate a competitive spirit even outside of football.

As the 2022 season begins, the Broncos unveiled a newly renovated home dressing room at Empower Field at Mile High. Players and coaches first saw it when they arrived against the Cowboys for the first week of the preseason.

First, look in the new locker room

Justin Simmons was one of the first players to arrive. He wasn’t sure how to adequately express his opinion on the team’s new digs.

“I don’t even know if I can say it – are you serious?” Simmons said as he walked through the locker room. “Look at this place, it’s amazing.”

KJ Hamler was stunned as soon as he walked in and yelled “Oh!” as he took it all in.

“Oh, they’re crazy,” said Melvin Gordon III when he arrived. “Did you hear that? You’re all crazy. I don’t know if it’s the Waltons, I don’t know if it’s George Paton, I don’t know if it’s Broncos country. But whoever it is, that’s all I have to say.”

Coach Hackett’s Victory Speech

Hackett delivered his first victory speech of the season. After a 17-7 win over the Cowboys, it was impossible not to be thrilled.

“It’s really nice to be a part of that; I think everyone loves that,” Hackett said at the beginning of his speech.

“We’re all chasing it non-stop, aren’t we? Every day we work hard, we all work hard, and then we can go out and do really good things. I mean, how great does that kind of thing feel? It’s an honour to all of you.”

He thanked the starters for the enthusiastic support on the sidelines and called several players who impressed him. He praised P.J. Locke’s interceptions, Baron Browning, and multiple offensive players, including wide receiver Jalen Virgil.

“Virgil Holy [curse]” shouted Hackett to thunderous applause. “Three greetings at 83 yards”.

Hackett concluded his presentation by praising the team for their hard work and noting that they still have a lot to improve upon. NFL London Broncos vs Jaguars fans to buy Denver Broncos vs Jacksonville Jaguars Tickets from our website.

“I’m telling you, it was so much fun with you,” Hackett said.

“I can’t tell you enough. I mean you’re all fighting for each other, we’ve got new guys rocking, all kinds of good stuff.”

Sharpening iron

Simmons and Pat Surtain II were a one-two in the Broncos’ second-line, and they had a lot of respect for each other. In the second episode, they discuss their appreciation for each other’s play and how they make each other better and even cooler. They document their top games together in training camp.

“What impresses me the most you know, we started working with Pat last year is how much. He already knows about the game and how slow the game is for him,” Simmons said.

“As soon as Pat got here, it seemed like he was a five-, six-, seven-, eight-year-old vet. I kept thinking, ‘I don’t know how much he can improve from year one to year two’ Just because his rookie- season was great. I’m excited for him.”

Surtain saw Simmons as a role model to follow and praised the veteran’s safe work ethic.

“The most important thing I learned was definitely the way he approached it,” said Surtain.

“When he walked in, he was completely focused and called. He was just the way to prepare every Sunday, every week. He took film research seriously, prepared seriously, and it was only shown on Sundays, the most important thing to learn from Justin.”

Reunited with von Miller

The final scene of Episode 2 featured several Broncos players sharing hugs, handshakes, and heartfelt words with former teammate Von Miller before and after their week 2 preseason game against the Bills. Many players shared the field with Miller over the years and developed a close friendship with the eight-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl 50 MVP outside linebacker.

“Hey, Big Brother,” Dalton Risner said, hugging Miller as he warmed up before the game. “How are you, man? I missed you, bro. I required to give you a big embrace.”

Miller and Garrett Bolles re-formed their old grasp, with Gordon jokingly pushing Miller to the floor. It was an emotional reunion, and Miller was full of praise for the Broncos organization. NFL London Broncos vs Jaguars fans to buy Broncos vs Jaguars Tickets from our website.

“It’ll be love forever, man,” Miller said after the game. “This is Broncos land forever, man. I can’t say enough about that team, they’ve got a great quarterback and a great head coach. The sky’s the limit for these guys.”

Look at the closed door

When the Broncos staff and coaches met to discuss shaping the initial 53-man roster. We saw General Manager George Paton leading a discussion about the team in the audience.

“Who came out, in that group?” Paton said about an unspecified group of positions. “That’s the biggest that’s our biggest dilemma because they’re all good.”

This included input from multiple coaches, and at one point Paton called on task force coordinator Dwayne Stukes to see how the players fared in the game’s third period.

“We don’t think he’s a dedicated quad-core team player,” Stukes said of an unidentified player. “It’s not a lack of effort; it’s just that he made those blocks he should have made on the kick-off return.”

Before Hackett, we heard him share some thoughts on another player. “Just a guy who can play great games who can give you an explosive game.”

Results of the process

The result is the first roster, and the group will vary throughout the season. It won’t affect the team’s performance, especially for underdogs.

“When a guy comes on a team but he may not feel like he’s going, or he’s been on a unique journey. A guy who’s been on multiple teams, or a guy who may not be drafted and doesn’t think he’s an opportunity. I think it’s great to let him know he’s on the team,” Hackett said.

“The sheer joy those people have because they put in all the effort, everything they do, from lifting weights to training to exercising to being at the bottom, adjusting slowly and working their way. Come on, there’s nothing better than a man’s face “who turned 53 and knows he’s going to be part of our season. It’s one of the best things in the business.”

Then we look at Hackett’s team meeting where he sets expectations and emphasizes the mindset a team should have as the regular season is about to start.

“Congratulations to everyone in this room,” Hackett said.

“This is the crew we’re going to take advantage of, and we want to get as much as possible. And we just know where that is. We’ve all set that thing up. Hey, let’s be real. We’re all in space to see the Super Bowl win I mean everyone says “Super Bowl or bust” – it’s not like that.

That’s why we do it We don’t just do it one game at a time Now The idea is not to ignore. That It’s been a long season So understand it’s time There’s no excuse. So that’s our number 1 goal now It changes every week It’s been a long season We want to Roll, roll, roll, better and better as the season goes on because you want to be successful in the playoffs.

So we have to be very focused on everything we do, we have to prepare let’s keep pushing. Let’s keep going and get better through all these things.

Guys, know this: start now. No excuses. Congratulations again on the 2022 Denver Broncos. We need everyone in this room, so everyone has to think carefully. “
