Over 130,000 rooms available to fans

An announcement from the SC on April 8, 2022, said the number of rooms available for World Cup guests will spread to 130,000, indicating fans can use the property at any time. Available housing ranges from hotel rooms, villas, and apartments, to floating hotels, and fan villages.

Qatar is expected to host 1 million fans during the event, the report said. Accommodation in some apartments costs as little as $80 a night while booking some rooms in luxury floating hotels, including restaurants and plenty of entertainment, can cost as little as $180 a night.

The floating hotel will be one of the more special choices offered during the FIFA World Cup. SC recently signed a deal with MSC Cruises to charter two cruise ships with a combined capacity of 4,000 people.

The report also states that SC has signed a contract with Accor, Europe's largest hotel operator, to provide 10,000 employees during the tournament who will operate more than 1 million overnight stays in 60,000 apartments and villas.
