The Japanese star made a
15-foot birdie that took the lead late in the round on the difficult 16th hole.
On the final hole, an erratic kick-off forced him to miss a penalty, but he
successfully escaped by pushing the par putt away.
"The 16-hole that
catches a big bird, I'm very pleased with the 18-hole par. I just want to be
ready tomorrow morning so it's good to finish them one under par, the last
three holes are very challenging on this course," says Nakajima. "One-shot
ahead, I'm really excited to be where I am now the way I finish makes me feel

Jeremy Lin had a strong
start after swallowing a double bogey on the second round, and the shot from
7th position didn't slow his momentum.
“It would be nice to be able
to win three consecutive championships, I'm very pleased to have this chance to
participate in the competition again," said Lin.
