In Boyle Sports’ preview of the DP World Tour Championship, Sam Torrance said: “There are a lot of young players in Europe. That is completely crucial.
“Rather than someone who may not have much contact with the players, one of the most important things about the Ryder Cup captains is that they are still on tour and able to resonate. “Get the upper hand again and this is something that we have to fight back. But I don’t think we as Europe should change too much about the process. Some of the staff changes for fresh crops in the United States this year is a very good start. Yes, in Ryder Cup 2023 this will be a very different team.”
