When star Scrum half-man Antoine Dupont was crowned best talent in the sport in 2021, the French team’s ten-year wait for the World Rugby Player of the Year award ended.
Toulouse’s talisman, DuPont, took two-thirds of the vote, beating out the world-class shortlist, which included England’s Maro Itoje and Australian duo Michael Hooper and Samu Kerevi.
