Six Nations: Scarlets have poached key members of Eddie Jones England's staff in a major coup

The Scarlet team staged a major coup by poaching a key member of Eddie Jones' staff behind the scenes in England. Joe Lewis England's chief analyst for the past four years will return to the Scarlet team as the new head of technical performance. While on the England squad, Lewis helped Jones' team enter the 2019 Rugby World Cup final and win the 2020 Six Nations and Autumn Nations Cups.

Lewis was originally from Builth Wells, before joining the England rugby team, he served on the England women's football team and played roles in the Australian Super Rugby and Taranaki rugby union.

From 2012 to 2016, after a year in the same position with the Ospreys, he was also the chief analyst at Scarlets. Prior to that, Lewis was the lead analyst for the Welsh Age Class and Women's Team.

Joe Lewis added: “Improve my ability to work at the highest level and I can learn, I think this is my mystical home, I’m very pleased to return to Scarlet. Forgiving me the chance to be part of his team, especially Eddie, I really appreciate RFU more importantly.

“This exciting new part, I'm really appreciative to Dwayne for giving me. I am excited to have the chance to apply this knowledge to lead Scarlets coaches and players to upcoming victory."
