While on the England squad, Lewis helped Jones' team enter the 2019 Rugby World Cup final and win the 2020 Six Nations and Autumn Nations Cups.

Lewis was originally from Builth Wells, before joining the England rugby team, he served on the England women's football team and played roles in the Australian Super Rugby and Taranaki rugby union.

From 2012 to 2016, after a year in the same position with the Ospreys, he was also the chief analyst at Scarlets. Prior to that, Lewis was the lead analyst for the Welsh Age Class and Women's Team.
