6 High-Rise Restaurants With Breathtaking Views Of London’s New Year Eve Fireworks Display
Tickets for incredible London New Year's Eve fireworks display may be sold out, but you can still get front-row seats to coveted views of the Thames. All of these restaurants have some pretty enviable views if you're willing to go a little crazy and splurge on London New Year's Eve.
Babylon at The Roof Gardens
High above Kensington (well, 7 floors) is Babylon. They make London New Year's Eve a night from hell, complete with champagne, a four-course dinner, unlimited wine and beer, club entry and (our favorite part!) breakfast canapés served in the early hours of 2017! At £250 per person, it's not cheap... but if you're willing to splurge a bit later in the year, the views are worth it. Just be sure to take plenty of photos (and drink as much wine as you feel necessary!).
The Blueprint Cafe
The Blueprint Cafe, oddly enough, is located at the top of the London Design Museum. Right on the Thames, overlooking Tower Bridge, you'd be hard pressed to find a more panoramic view on London New Year's Eve. However, they offer a three course menu priced at £85 per person. But, after dinner, guests can head west along the river on Erasmus, where you can watch the midnight fireworks display with nothing in your way... well, except a £200 boat ticket.
Coq d’Argent
You'll be dizzy when you experience the 360-degree views from the Coq d'Argent roof gardens. Located in the heart of the city, the restaurant puts on a real show on London New Year's Eve with a sumptuous 5-course menu, but, live music from London's best jazz performers and its own fireworks display! This way, you don't have to compete with a crowd of people to get the color and smoke you want.
Galvin at Windows
You'll find this Michelin-starred restaurant on the 28th floor of the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane. Don't be surprised if you're on the same level as fireworks! However, to enjoy these panoramic views of London, you should be prepared to pay at least £100 per person. But that shouldn't be too difficult at Galvin at Windows, which offers a 5-course lunch...
Oxo Tower Restaurant, Brasserie and Bar
The iconic Southbank building is throwing a party this New Year that's sure to end the year with some OXO hugs and kisses. Here you can choose from a 3-course set menu or a special à la carte menu, so the amount you choose to spend is more flexible than at most restaurants. So, it's time to put on your favorite dress or tuxedo, enjoy some fantastic live music, admire the rooftops of London and enter 2017 feeling the most glamorous you've felt all year... which is probably not such a difficult task.
The London Sky Bar
London's Sky Bar is throwing another exciting London New Year's Eve party to mark the end of the year. The evening will include champagne cocktails, live cooking classes, plenty of dancing, DJs, 306 views of London and, of course, an outdoor terrace with enviable views of London New Year’s Eve Fireworks.
